My Apologies

I have been MIA for a while now and I wanted to apologize.  I will start posting more reviews over the next few weeks.

I am currently working on reading a few different books at once.  So far it is going ok, sometimes it gets a little hard switching between them lol.  Here are my currently reading titles:

Vengeance couldn’t be sweeter...
Bjorn, bastard of Vellefold, goes home to save the father who exiled him. If he defeats his father’s enemies, the jarl’s torque is his. He’ll win just to let the ringfort burn—except the fair and learned Ilsa sees right through him and dares to warm his icy heart.
Or battle more desirable...
Ilsa prefers the quiet world of foreign scrolls, but she remembers the rough and tumble boy Bjorn once was. Now he’s a fierce fighter, upsetting her with soul-deep kisses. Even worse, Bjorn uncovers her nighttime secret of helping Vellefold’s thralls in their bid for freedom.
When a woman dares a man...
The Viking maid befuddles Bjorn, yielding softly one moment, standing toe to toe with him the next. He has plenty of trouble on his hands. Deceived and outnumbered, he’s leading the Forgotten Sons in a losing battle. When the darkest hour comes, the once rejected warrior must decide—surrender his heart and his sword—or lose a love worth more than all the kingdoms of the world.

From the authors of the no 1. New York Times bestselling novel An Anonymous Girl. A fiendishly smart cat-and-mouse thriller New York Times Book Review When you read this book, you will make many assumptions. It's about a jealous wife, obsessed with her replacement. It's about a younger woman set to marry the man she loves. The first wife seems like a disaster; her replacement is the perfect woman. You will assume you know the motives, the history, the anatomy of the relationships. You will be wrong. The Wife Between Us is the first collaboration between Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen; a gripping thriller with film rights sold to the creators of The Girl On the Train. MORE PRAISE FOR THE WIFE BETWEEN US Jaw dropping. Unforgettable. Shocking. Publishers Weekly (starred review) The best domestic suspense novel since Gone Girl. 1547.
Henry VIII is dying, haunted by a ghost from his past. Anne Boleyn.
On her return from France, Anne Boleyn takes the English court by storm. Her vibrant intelligence and ready wit instantly attracts the jaded eye of the king.
Henry is already tired of his ageing wife, Catherine of Aragon, and furious at her failure to provide him with a son. When he pleads with Anne to become his mistress, she refuses for her heart is already set on Harry Percy, heir to the mighty earldom of Northumberland.
But the king is determined and the courtship that follows scandalises Christendom.
During Henry’s long drawn-out struggle to be free of Catherine it becomes clear that the king intends to have Anne not just as his mistress but his wife.
Once Queen of England, Anne is expected to provide the illusive Tudor heir. But instead of the longed-for prince, she gives birth to a girl – Elizabeth - and a few years later, a dead son.
Anne’s days of triumph are over and Henry’s eye begins to roam - leaving Anne vulnerable as her enemies stir in the shadows and begin to work against her. She becomes a victim of both love and politics.
The Kiss of the Concubine traces the relationship between Henry and Anne from their first meeting to beyond the scaffold.
Recommended reading for fans of Alison Weir, Philippa Gregory and Sarah Gristwood.
Judith Arnopp is the author of numerous bestselling historical novels, including Intractable Heart, written from the perspective of Tudor women, from all walks of life.
